Moving over to the Olympic curling venue, the Chinese women's curling team faced Japan a round robin game Thursday.
China got off to a solid start with a 2-0 first end advantage. The Japanese team's throw went through the rings as she tried a take-out. She left China with an open draw for two.
Japan's skip came up short again in the second end. THis time her shot to draw was way too light. 2-1 China after two.
The Japanese team tied the game 2-all in the third end. Then China went up 4-2 in the fifth. The sweepers did their part, bringing it into the house.
In the eighth, Japan had to hit and stick to score two. The Japanese skip responded to the pressure and made it 6-5.
But in the 10th end, China had the hammer. It took out the Japanese stone sitting one, then China scored three to take a 9-5 win.
