Shanghai's municipal tourism authority will promote a "World Expo Tour" to cater to the influx of visitors poised to arrive in the city.

A cluster of scenic spots including the New Shanghai Bund, also known as Waitan, and the Expo halls will soon be open to the public. The city has prepared 10 tourist routes related to the World Expo. Meanwhile, World Expo caravans will visit seven provinces and municipalities to promote the Expo tour. Shanghai will also cooperate with nearby cities in tourism events.
