As the rescue and relief operation continues in Yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture, people across China are showing sympathy and blessings for the victims in various ways. People of Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi Province, are showing their support.
A great number of volunteers gathered in downtown Bayi Square in Nanchang. They lit thousands of candles in support of people in the quake-zone.
Although it was raining throughout the night, volunteers stood towards the northwest direction, where Yushu is located, to send their best wishes. The candles lit up the square.
A Nanchang resident said, "We hope the victims at Yushu earthquake will receive good treatment, and those who were killed are now in peace."
A Nanchang resident said, "No matter what the weather is like, we will definitely come."
A Nanchang resident said, "Although I come from Heilongjiang Province, and now I live in Nanchang, it is still far from Yushu. But we think the same, we are all Chinese."
