The former head of China's home electronics retailer giant Gome, Huang Guangyu, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, and fined 600 million yuan by a Beijing court.
Once the richest man in China, Huang has been found guilty of bribery, insider trading and illegal business dealings. Investigation into the case began on November 18th, 2008, and he was taken into custody on March 2nd, 2009.
