Doors that could catch fire, brakes that could fail and accelerators that could stick, this has led to another recall by the Chrysler Group.
This time, the company says the number of affected cars in United States is nearly 600 thousand, and 700 thousand around the globe. As many as 300 thousand Chrysler Town and Country minivans and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans for model years 2008 and 2009 are being recalled due to a hidden fire problem. Another 300 thousand Chrysler Jeep Wranglers from model year 2007 to 2010 are being recalled due to possible brake failure. Meanwhile, another 100 thousand cars in the overseas market are also in the recall plan, which totals up to 700 thousand cars. The company says the owners may receive notice this month, and their cars will be repaired for free.
