Rafael Nadal has won his second Wimbledon title with a straight sets victory over Czech Tomas Berdych. The Spaniard, brought the crowd to life early, in the match with a backhand return that proved too powerful for Berdych's stretching forehand.
Nadal took the second of two break points to claim the opening set 6-3 in 34 minutes. The second set went to a tie-breaker when a slew of unforced errors... gave the world number one... three break points. Another errant forehand from Berdych sealed the set and effectively the match. Nadal settled the contest with another trademark cross-court forehand. The 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 victory completed a second French Open-Wimbledon double in three years for Nadal.
