And staying in the UK. Dentures used by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill were sold at auction for 23,000 US dollars in England on Wednesday.
The spare set of upper dentures were snatched by an unknown collector. The collector already owns the microphone used by Churchill to announce the end of the Second World War.
The gold-plated dentures went for three times the estimated guide price at the auction in Norfolk.
Auctioneer Andrew Bullock was pleased with the outcome. Another pair of Chruchill's dentures were previously donated to the Royal College of Surgeons. The dentures were sold by the son a dentist who made them at the start of the war when Churchill was in his sixties.
