A mudslide has struck Puladi, a remote town in southwest China's Yunnan province early Wednesday. Latest figures show the disaster has left one person dead, dozens injured, and at least 90 missing.
The mudslide buried more than 20 houses and trucks. Roads were also affected. Power supplies and telecommunications were cut off. The mudslide was triggered by days of torrential rain. Over a thousand people help with the rescue work. The injured are being treated in hospitals, while the search and rescue work continues. The county is expecting more rain in the coming two days, which may affect the rescue work.
