Taiwan king of R&B Jay Chou played Hong Kong's Coliseum on Thursday. His world tour - "The Era" - will stay in town a while, too, performing for eight consecutive nights. Let's see what the veteran performer has in store for fans.
Thursday's futuristic show opened with a virtual image of Chou floating in a glass pyramid. Then the singer appeared inside a giant crystal ball on the stage.
The concert was attended by thousands of fans.
Jay Chou, Singer, said, "It has been ten years since my debut? Some of my fans are married and have kids now. They tell me their kids are my fans as well. That made me feel that I might be getting older."
Veteran singer Jacky Cheung made a surprise appearance on stage to support Chou.
The pair then sang a duet - much to the crowd's delight.
Chou's tour has reached 50 venues since kicking off in Taipei on June 11th. "The Era" is the singer's 4th world tour.
Born in Taiwan, Chou has been one of the most influential pop singers in Asia for a decade. He has released ten studio albums - his latest, "The Era," was released in May of this year.
Other than music, Chou is also an actor. He made his acting debut in 2005 and also extended his career into directing in 2006.
