Some scholars and political observers say China will launch a new round of reform to achieve good governance.
The assessment comes as the ruling Communist Party of China is planning the country's roadmap for the coming five years.
The CPC Central Committee opened a plenary meeting in Beijing on Friday. The 12th five-year program will unveil a new round of comprehensive reform, both economic and political.
The committee is stressing exercising democracy in elections, decision-making, management and supervision and guaranteeing the people's rights to be informed, to participate, to be heard and to oversee.
This is the CPC's and government's way to step up reform for good governance. Observers say the 12th five-year program will go beyond economic and social development to involve administrative, political, social and cultural restructuring.
