China and France have several common strategic goals, and relations between the two countries are developing well. Tricoire says the world economy is still in a process of recovery, and China's development is vital to global economic stability.

China and France should enhance economic cooperation, as well as traditional fields, such as energy, transportation and national defense. The two countries can also work together on issues of environmental concern.
