South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has met the US military's top commander in the region, General Walter Sharp. The meeting came as South Korea's military announced a delay in new artillery drills targeted in last week's DPRK bombardment, just a few hours after authorities announced the joint exercises. The new drills, could have had even higher stakes. South Korean and American warships, are engaged in separate military exercises to the south of the west sea.
