Staying on the Korean Peninsula, where the DPRK has broadcast a documentary showing leader Kim Jong Il inspecting various sectors of its businesses. The film marks a rare public appearance by the DPRK leader and his heir, Kim Jong Un.
KRT newsreader said, "Now, the new Chosun Documentary Film titled "The Great Leader Kim Jong Il Carries Out Field Guidance In Various Businesses" will be shown."
The footage was reportedly filmed between September and November 2010. It shows Kim Jong II accompanied by his son Kim Jong Un, inspecting businesses across a range of sectors.
At the newly renovated National theater, Kim said he was satisfied with the progress of the project.
While visiting a famous restaurant in the capital Pyongyang, Kim urged the business to play a greater role in improving food levels.
The footage also showed Kim's visit to a hydropower plant, where the leader praised the people's work during the construction.
The release of the documentary comes amid top US special envoy to the DPRK, Stephen Bosworth's east Asian tour to push restarting nuclear disarmament talks with Pyongyang.
