An underground tunnel believed to be used for smuggling drugs has been discovered in Mexico.

Authorities understand people were illegally brought into the United States through the 30-meter-long tunnel as well. Two drug packages have been found, each weighing about eight kilos.

Local media say the tunnel entrance is three kilometers from the immigration check point on the US-Mexico border. The tunnel is equipped with a water pump and electricity.
