A new trailer has been released for the AIDS-themed film "Till Death Do Us Part" ("Zui Ai"), Sohu.com reports.
The film, formerly promoted with the title "Life Is a Miracle", features Zhang Ziyi and Aaron Kwok as two HIV sufferers who find love and hope despite their misfortune.
Set in a rural Chinese village, the film explores how AIDS affects local lives, director Gu Changwei said Tuesday, March 22, 2011 while promoting his film at the ongoing Hong Kong International Film Festival.
Gu spoke highly of his cast, especially Zhang Ziyi. He told reporters, "Those times were quite depressing for Ziyi. Actually, at the beginning I was a bit worried if she could bear so much. But as soon as we started discussing it, I felt that she could own the character."
Compared to the previous trailer which only shows Zhang and Kwok, the new trailer features more actors from the movie's star-studded cast, including Pu Cunxin, Jiang Wenli, Cai Guoqing and Wang Baoqiang. Gu said the film also features real people who are HIV-positive.
The film is slated for release on May 10.
