Libyan state television broadcast pictures of damage and wounded civilians, which they claim were from dawn raids in Sabha, south of the capital, Tripoli.
The photos included shots and damage. It says several civilians were wounded and the damage was the result of attacks by western planes in Sirte, the birth town of Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi.
The television station later fed the same pictures to the Arab States Broadcasting Union.
