Automakers are also disclosing their sales targets for the Chinese market, at the Shanghai Autoshow.
Toyota has expressed it's ambition to double its vehicle sales in China, to up to 1.8 million by 2015. The car maker also admitted there's difficulties in meeting this year's sales target, due to the crippled parts supply chain in Japan. Mercedes Benz is hoping to sell 300 thousand cars in China annually by 2015.
The company is also considering selling the Smart model of electric cars in the country. Beijing Hyundai aims to sell 720 thousand cars this year in China. The company has said it will add around 100 dealers across China, in addition to about 600 existing ones.
