Fans of the well-known video game Bioshock don't have long to wait before getting their hands on the next installment.

Due out next year, the game returns with major changes to both the settings and the characters, but with no less thrills.

Despite emerging from the unique underwater city setting of the first two versions, the new one inherits most of their gameplay mechanics.

Players are taken back to the year of 1912, with the mission to save a woman who is pursued for her innate superpower.

The new game is called "Bioshock Infinite."
