Taiwan designer Cai Meiyue presented her latest interpretation of the wedding dress under the theme "The Royal Secret" at China Fashion Week. Also featured over the weekend were men's collections that incorporated Chinese elements.

It's the dream of a modern Cinderella. Veteran designer Cai Meiyue is weaving a wonderland for sweethearts who admire and want to experience the royal, elegant and romantic wedding day. Elaborate embroidery bordered the white dresses, a knitted detail for a royal touch. Elaborate embroidery brodered the white chiffon. Gold and red, lace and silk match with the traditional classic white dress.
Tsai Meiyue, designer, said, "Unlike other designers, when I see a piece of cotton with a lot of holes in it, I treat it like the art of papercutting. Along with the white chiffon, the whole piece is clean, pure and childish. So it can give a very sweet feel for women."
A viewer said, "The designer has followed closely with the international fashion trend. While Cai uses red and green on one piece. It's ethinc and modern. "
China's classical aesthetic elements are blended into modern menswear. This is presented by one of China's top menswear designers Zeng Fengfei. Zeng used straight lines, a floral palette, oblique fronts, and durable fabrics like cotton and hemp to create clothes that are youthful yet sophisticated.
Zeng Fengfei said, "You can't say that things with traditional Chinese characteristics look old, as there is also something fashionable about them. It's a great challenge for designers to combine Chinese elements in fashion."
According to a fashion critics at the show, the application of off-white, light-blue, brown, orange and other light colors helped the clothes portray an easy-to-come-by energy and vitality, and Zeng's loose tops and tight trousers presented a sense of poise and grace.
The 10-day fashion show kicked off on Oct 24th. Over the course of the event, more than 40 designers will stage their creations in 44 themed fashion shows.
