A magnitude 6.4-earthquake has struck the Pacific island nation Vanuatu, just after nine o'clock this morning local time.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the epicenter was determined to be at 19.0 degrees south latitude and 168.9 degrees east longitude. It had a depth of 30 kilometers. There is no immediate report of damage and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there's no threat of a tsunami.
