China and Indonesia are continuing their second joint military drill in Jinan, capital of east China’s Shandong Province.
On Sunday, officers and soldiers trained their tactical formation and cooperative engagement capabilities. Ahead of the training, teams held discussions on anti-terrorism operations, grouping and tactical actions. Code-named "Sharp Knife - 2012", the drill brings together Special Forces from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and Tentara National Indonesia.
The teams are working on live fire exercises, parachuting, and blockading and seizure tactics. A combat-simulation system is also being used to mimic real-life situations and confrontations. The theme for this year’s military drill is "United to fight terrorism" and will last 15 days.
