Chinese marine surveillance ships are continuing regular patrols in the territorial waters surrounding the Diaoyu Islands.
According to the State Oceanic Administration, the patrol fleet is made up of three Hai-jian surveillance ships.
Meanwhile, the fleet declared China's sovereignty rights of the Diaoyu Islands to the Japanese ships that were in the area and urged them to immediately leave. At the beginning of 2013, the State Oceanic Administration released report emphasized that China would persist in patrolling the Diaoyu Islands area, and will regularize the operation.
