Japanese media reports the government intends to produce video clips in 11 languages to publicize its claims to territories that are subject to dispute with neighbouring countries. The clips will be put on the Internet for an overseas campaign.
According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the Japanese government is about to open a website publicizing its territorial claims to the Diaoyu Islands and the Dokdo Islands. Video clips will also be produced about the territory that Russia calls the Southern Kurils, and Japan calls the Northern Territories.
The clips are expected to be ready in March next year and will be put on the website in rotation. China insists that the Diaoyu Islands have been Chinese territory for centuries.
