The US special envoy to the stalled six-party talks on the Democratic People’s of Republic of Korea’s nuclear program has arrived in Beijing.
Glyn Davies will meet his counterpart Wu Dawei, China’s Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs. The US envoy said he has high expectations for his meeting with Wu, who visited Washington late October.
After his meetings in Beijing, Davies will fly to South Korea and Japan. The DPRK has called for an unconditional resumption of the talks. The US says the DPRK must first take concrete steps to show it is willing to end its nuclear weapons program.
