With the women's final set, the first men's semi-final has just ended in Melbourne...as 7th seed Stanislas Wawrinka and 8th Thomas Berdych battled it out for a place in the final.
The 28-year old Swiss Wawrinka knocked off three-time champ Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals, and took the first set 6-3 against the big hitting Czech veteran. And after they split the next two in tiebreaks, Wawrinka had a chance to move to his first Grand Slam final with a fourth set win.
And he would get it done, edging Berdych in another tie-break to move on. The Swiss will get either compatriot Roger Federer or Roger’s old foe Rafa Nadal of Spain in the final.
