Chinese Premier Li Keqiang says relations between China and Africa have entered a "golden period". He was quoted by African press before leaving Beijing Sunday to begin his week-long visit to the continent.
Li said both China and Africa have benefited from China-Africa cooperation. His visit is expected to expand exchanges and cooperation on poverty reduction for common development.
Li will also seek to strengthen industrial and commercial cooperation by helping promote Africa's industrialization and manufacturing sector. Agreements on enhancing human resources and eco-environment cooperation will be aimed at sustaining the momentum in Africa's long-term development.
