Day Nine is underway at Wimbledon, with the women's quarter-finals already in progress. The highest seed left in the draw, Simona Halep has just gone through, beating Sabine Lisicki in straight sets on Centre Court.

Third seed Simona Halep, the French Open runner-up, facing the German 19th seed, who was runner-up to Marion Bartoli last year. Lisicki started well after a midday kick off on centre court, usually the women's quarter-finals would be played on Tuesday, but because of wet weather earlier in the week, this delayed for a day, but Lisicki's good start could not be maintained.

The Romanian went on to win the first set six games to four. That smile on Liscki's face would not last, and then Halep took over completely in the second set, taking it six-love, and in little over an hour, Halep through to the women's semifinals.

On the men's side, 2011 champion Novak Djokovic faces Marin Cilic. Cilic is the fourth Croatian man to make the quarter-finals, but the 26th seed has a woeful 9-0 losing record against Djokovic.

Third seeded Murray has yet to drop a set at the tournament this year, and will be playing in his seventh successive Quarter-Final at the All-England Club.

He tackles Bulgarian 11th seed Grigor Dimitrov who has made this stage for the first time.

Roger Federer tackles Swiss compatriot and close friend Stan Wawrinka for a place in the last four. Federer will start as overwhelming favourite, having a 13-2 record over his 2008 Olympic Games gold medal partner.

Nick Kyrgios's reward for beating Nadal is a clash with eighth seed Milos Raonic, the first Canadian to reach the Last Eight in over a century.
