Real Madrid were crowned European champions for an unprecedented 11th time last night.
The Spanish giants won after Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winning penalty, in a 5-3 shootout victory over Atletico Madrid. The Champions League final had finished 1-1 after extra time. Sergio Ramos gave Real the lead in the 15th minute. But Atlectico substitute Yannick Carrasco scored an equaliser in the 79th minute, to send the game into extra time.
Juanfran missed Atletico's fourth penalty in the shootout, before Ronaldo converted his, to seal victory for Real.
