Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has arrived in the Macao Special Administrative Region for a three-day inspection tour and has met with its chief executive, Chui Sai On.

Li said, during the 17 years since its return to the motherland, Macao has seen a stable political environment, economic prosperity and a harmonious society. He said it has proved the worth of the "One Country, Two Systems" policy.
Li spoke highly of the efforts of the Macao government to lead people from all walks of life to overcome recent challenges. He also pledged more support from the Central Government for further development.
Chui, meanwhile, welcomed Li's visit and thanked the Central Government for its continued support. He said he was confident Macao would see diverse economic development through its national development strategies and its closer cooperation with the Mainland.
During his visit, Li also plans to attend an economic and trade forum for China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
