A police helicopter crashed into a reservoir in a northern suburb of Beijing on Wednesday morning, Xinhua reported.
Beijing police said four people are missing after the accident.
Five crew members were aboard the helicopter that was returning from a rescue drill above the mountainous region of Miyun County that ended at 9:12 a.m., the Beijing police said in a statement.
As of 1:30 p.m., one crew member has been saved while the rescue of four others is still under way, according to the statement.
Liu Qi, Party Secretary of Beijing municipal committee and Beijing Mayor?Guo Jinlong urged to make all efforts to rescue the four others crew members.
