An Afghan civilian was killed and ten others were injured as a roadside bomb struck a passenger minibus in country's western Farah province on Saturday, a statement of Interior Ministry said.
"The incident occurred in Pushtroad district in the wee hours of today as a result a civilian was killed and ten others were wounded,"the statement said.
An investigation has been initiated into the incident to identify the culprits, it asserted.
Taliban militants, who made a bloody comeback four years ago in their traditional hotbed in southern region, often use roadside bombs and suicide attacks to target Afghan and international forces but the lethal weapons often claim the life of civilians.
In 2009, according to UN's report, 2,412 civilians which indicated 14 percent higher than 2008, were killed in the militancy-hit Afghanistan.
