Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) said Sunday there is no change in the allocations of seats for the political blocs after a re-count of votes of Iraq's March 7 parliamentary elections.
"There is no change in the numbers of seats of any political entity by the re-count of votes of Baghdad province," spokesman Qassim al-Abboudi told Xinhua.
Earlier, the IHEC official said that the manual re-count of the results of parliamentary elections in Baghdad ended on Friday. " There was no big mistake found," Abboudi added.
More than two months have passed since the election, but political groups still failed to form a government. Current Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has accused fraud in the votes counting and demanded a re-count. The electoral commission agreed to do the re-count only for Baghdad province.
