Cambodian authorities in Siem Reap province arrested two Thai terrorists on Saturday, according to a Cambodian foreign ministry release on Saturday.
Cambodia said the two terrorists are identified as Boonplod Kobchai, born in July 19, 1967, another woman named Boonsom Varissareeya, born on Sept. 30, 1967, both of them "have committed terrorist acts by throwing grenade in Bangkok on June 22, 2010", said the release.
"Although without any request from the government of Thailand, the Cambodian government have arrested them and will send the two youths back to Thailand, which shows that Cambodian government has always implemented its policy of anti-terrorism regardless where the crimes were committed," it said.
"And Cambodia has always cooperated with other countries in the world to fight terrorism, which cannot be forgiven," it added.
"The Cambodian ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation will hand over the two terrorists to the Thailand Embassy in Phnom Penh on Monday July 5, 2010 at 10 A.M," said the release obtained by Xinhua.
The northern province of Siem Reap, the home of Angkor Temple, is the Cambodian biggest tourist destination.
