A gunman killed six people and injured 19 others in a shooting spree in the Slovak capital of Bratislava on Monday, the state-run TASR news agency reported.
The shooting happened at around 10 a.m. (0800 GMT) in Devinska Nova Ves district on the outskirts of Bratislava, according to the TASR.
Eyewitnesses said the killer was shooting from a window of apartment block. A reporter of SME newspaper was informed that the killer was a 15-year-old drug addict who committed suicide after shooting.
The gunman armed with a shotgun opened fire on passers-by and windows of buildings, local TV reported. His motives were still unknown.
Dominika Sulkova, spokeswoman for the rescue service, said among the dead were four women and two men.
"The police aren't providing statements on the incident at the moment," Bratislava regional police directorate spokesperson Petra Hraskova told TASR news agency.
