Released ROK fishing boat heads home

A South Korean fishing boat previously held in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ( DPRK) for allegedly trespassing into its waters is now heading home, local media reported Tuesday.
South Korea's Red Cross was notified Monday by its DPRK counterpart that seven crew members and the seized boat "Daeseung 55" would be released Tuesday.
Officials of consulate of Chinese Embassy to the DPRK told Xinhua on Tuesday that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) have notified the Chinese side the three Chinese crews will go back to South Korea with the Korean fishing boat "55 Daesung."??
The boat was seized on Aug. 8 presumably in waters within the DPRK's exclusive economic zone.
South Korea's maritime police are currently escorting the 41- ton vessel back to the port city of Sokcho, 210 kilometers east of Seoul, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The DPRK's official Korean Central News Agency said on Monday that the release will be made "from the compatriotic and humanitarian points of view," Pyongyang previously said the alleged trespass infringed upon its sovereignty.
