At least six foreign miscreants were arrested Monday, along with cache of arms and suicide attack plans on Pakistani law enforcement seized in Hangu, Orakzai tribal area in northwest Pakistan, local sources said.
The arms include rocket launchers, Kalashnikovs, hand grenades and a large quantity of live mortar shells and bullets, according to Hangu District Police Officers (DPO).
The arrested militants were reported to be Afghan nationals, local sources said citing police. They were planning to do suicide attacks in Hangu and adjacent tribal areas in the northwest Pakistan, local sources said.
Their planned targets were police, government and law enforcement officers, sources said, adding that the police has shifted the arrested miscreants to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
