Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping met on Friday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
China and the UAE have witnessed fast development of bilateral relations since the establishment of ties, Xi said, adding China will continue to develop the friendly relations of cooperation from strategic height and long-term perspective.
He hoped the two sides would continue exchange of visits at various levels, strengthen coordination and cooperation on regional and international issues, expand cooperation in all areas, and further promote cultural and educational cooperation and deepen the mutual understanding between the two peoples.
"The China-UAE friendly relationship of cooperation is believed to score new development with the joint efforts from both sides," the vice president said.
Abdullah said the UAE values its friendship with China and will steadily abide by the one-China policy and support China's reunification and territorial integrity.
The foreign minister vowed that UAE will further enhance political mutual trust with China, and expand their cooperation in trade, energy, railway, aviation and infrastructure construction, so as to bring the bilateral relationship to a strategic height.
