Five moderate earthquakes hit Indonesia's West Sumatra province on Wednesday, the Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics said.
The earthquakes measuring 5.1-5.5 on the Richter scale were centered at regions of Pagai Selatan Mentawai and Sipura Mentawai of the province from 02:40 a.m. local time (1540 GMT on Tuesday) to 07:17 a.m. local time (0017GMT) and at depth of 15-30 km under sea bed.
The agency did not release a tsunami warning.
