European Union (EU) foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said here on Friday Iran is ready to resume talks over nuclear program.
Ashton, EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, said that she had received a letter from Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saed Jalili, during which he agreed to resume talks after Nov. 10.
Ashton invited Jalili in an letter to hold talks in Vienna from after Nov. 15.
"I think this is a very significant move," Ashton told press when attending European Council summit held here from Thursday to Friday.
