Indonesia's volcano eruption disturbs international flight

The volcano in Central Java of Indonesia has disturbed international flight as the mount continued eruption on Tuesday, officials said.
Mount Merapi with 2,968 meters high has frequently erupted since Oct. 26 and spewed gray hot ash by up to the range of 1 to 4 km high and spread horizontally by up to seven km, searing gas.
Indonesian Transport Ministry has issued warning to the international and domestic flight to avoid the route near the volcano for safety, spokesman of the ministry Bambang Ervan said.
"We have warned planes not to pass through the route near the Merapi, they could fly through the routes away from the mount for safety,"the spokesman said.
Two international airlines serving flight from Singapore and Malaysia to Indonesia's city of Solo in Central Java have cancelled flight, according to local media Tuesday.
The main airport in Yogyakarta province had closed due to the smoke, official at the airport said.
Mount Merapi re-erupted on Tuesday, starting at 05:23 a.m. Jakarta time Tuesday (2223 GMT Monday). The eruption has killed 38 people and internally displaced over 70,000 others, local Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency said.
