Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai said Wednesday that China and the United States will continue communication and coordination on climate change.
China and the U.S. have exchanged views and conducted effective coordination, Cui said at a news briefing ahead of Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit to the U.S..
"China and the U.S. worked together effectively at the climate talks in Cancun, Mexico, and I believe the trend will continue in the future," said Cui.
During President Hu's visit to the U.S. from Jan. 18 to 21, he will discuss major issues with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama, Cui said, but did not say whether climate issues would be on the agenda.
