Ten people died and 35 were injured in clashes between protesters and security forces in Egypt's Al Arish city on Friday, a local security source told Xinhua.
The security forces fired tear gas to disperse the demonstrators after they flooded into the streets amid the ongoing nationwide protests demanding an immediate resignation of President Hosni Mubarak.
Raged protesters expressed their dissatisfaction regarding Mubarak's speech on Thursday night, which they said disappointing their aspiration.
Egypt's Vice President Omar Suleiman said on Friday President Hosni Mubarak resigned and handed over power the military after 18 days of anti-government protests in the country.
