Five foreign suicide attackers were killed Tuesday when they tried to target a check post in the outskirts of the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, the army said.
A bomber detonated and killed himself and one other, while another three female attackers were shot dead by the security forces when they walked with grenades towards the check post at Kharotabad in Quetta.
Along with the suicide attacks, the militants also exchanged fire at the check post with the paramilitary Frontier Corps.
The foreign attackers seemed to be Chechens or Uzbeks, the Frontier Corps said.
