At least 15 soldiers were killed and 20 others wounded in a bomb attack in Iraq's western province of Anbar on Wednesday, a provincial police source told Xinhua.
A roadside bomb struck a bus carrying Iraqi soldiers at the military base of Habbaniyah, some 70 km west of Baghdad, killing some 15 soldiers and wounding 20 others abroad, the source from the provincial operations command said on condition of anonymity.
The Iraqi security forces sealed off the scene and carried out investigation into the incident, the source said without giving further details.
Insurgent attacks continue in the once volatile Sunni Arab area in western Iraq that stretches through Anbar province to Iraq's western borders with Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
