Cambodia would send a group of 20 young entrepreneurs in various businesses fields to join the 4th ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneurs Association (ACYEA) Forum on Oct. 12-15 in Vietnam's Hanoi, said an official.
Ken Chanthan, president of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), said Monday that the forum was to boost relations, cooperation and solidarity between ASEAN-China young entrepreneurs.
"The forum is to exchange ideas on social and economic development and to create closer contacts among ASEAN and China young business people," he said.
During the upcoming forum, five Cambodian young entrepreneurs would be granted the awards of elite young entrepreneurs, he said.
ACYEA is a non-profit and independent body. The association functions as a regional platform where ASEAN and Chinese entrepreneurs can exchange information on cooperation beneficial to the development of trade and economic relations between both sides.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Cambodia formed the YEAC in September, 2009.
