Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed four new ambassadors to foreign countries, according to a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Monday.
Chang Hua has been appointed ambassador to Yemen, replacing Liu Denglin. Gao Youzhen has been appointed ambassador to Qatar, replacing Zhang Zhiliang. Hu Zhiqiang has been appointed ambassador to Chad, replacing Yang Guangyu.
Xia Huang has been appointed ambassador to Senegal, replacing Gong Yuanxing.
Hu made the appointments in line with decisions made by the Standing Committee of the NPC, China's top legislature.
