Syrian President Bashar al-Assad appointed on Tuesday two new governors to the governorates of Idlib and Deir al-Zour, the local media reported.
Fawaz al-Saleh was appointed as the governor of the eastern province of Deir al-Zour and Safwan abu-Sada as the governor of the northwestern Idlib province.
Both provinces are main hotspots and battlefields in Syria's 22- month-old crisis. Since the crisis began in Syria, Assad has changed most of the 14 governors nationwide.
