A prominent Syrian actor was killed Sunday when his car was hit by an RPG shell in a restive suburb of the capital Damascus, local media and activists said.
Yassin Baqqush, a long-time actor, was hit in the Damascus suburb of Isali, a hotspot in Syria's long-standing conflict.
Both the pro-government media and activists reported Baqqush's death but gave different versions of the incident with each party blaming the other.
Syria's media said the rebels targeted the actor's car while activists said the government troops' shelling killed him.
Further details about the incident are still emerging.
