Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool, District of Columbia
Located on the National Mall in Washington DC, the Lincoln Memorial was built to commemorate Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. A large seated sculpture of Lincoln is located in the central hall. The memorial also houses inscriptions of two of Lincoln's well-known speeches, The Gettysburg Address and his Second Inaugural Address. The Reflecting Pool is situated on the National Mall too, and is the largest reflecting pool in Washington, D.C.
