Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, District of Columbia
Located in Washington D.C., the museum boasts the largest collection of historic aircrafts and spacecrafts in the world. The collection includes about 60,000 objects, about one-third of which are one-of-a-kind or associated with a major milestone in history. The museum features more than 12,000 cubic feet of documents, more than 1.75 million photographs and 14,000 film and video titles recording the history and development of flight. It has received about 311 million visitors since opening in 1976, making it one of the most visited museums in the world.
